Training workshops

Rainlands runs regular training workshops and has worked with a broad spectrum of small scale farmers in the Copperbelt. Farmers are tutored in sustainable farming practices focusing on vegetable production, the principles of Assisted Natural Regeneration (ANR) and agroforestry. ANRĀ is simply the human protection and preservation of natural tree seedlings in forested areas. Rainlands Timber is working in partnership with Musika Initiatives Development to promote awareness around the rapidly diminishing tree mass in Zambia. It is hoped that by implementing a practical approach to the engagement of those living off the land, that the initiative will assist in reviving the depleted woodland.
