Light gauge steel roof trusses are lightweight and compact. The low mass per square meter saves on supporting structure, transport and erection.Rainlands Timber’s Ultraspan is engineered using Mitek’s in house state of the art 20/20 software. It can be supplied in kit form which is ideal for low cost housing or remote projects.The system can engineer spans up to 40 metres wide. Large sections of the roof can be pre-assembled on site and hoisted into position making this one of the most viable systems with a large range of applications.
When compared with a traditionally built roof, trussed rafters will typically deliver considerable material savings often using 40% less material. Manufactured offsite in factory controlled conditions, roof trusses offer immense versatility. A wide variety of truss configurations allow for a huge range of different applications, such as room in the roof (Attic) trusses, raised ceiling trusses, and scissor trusses. Trusses can be manufactured in a wide range of timber sections, with larger sections allowing for big spans for a variety of commercial application.
